The Latitude Beanie is a beginner friendly, super quick knit that is sure to keep you warm. With it’s close fit, stretch, and squishy texture you can’t go wrong!!
The Latitude Beanie design started with the yarn. I had some amazing yarn in hand, and I absolutely loved how soft and squishy it was. I knew I had to use a stitch that would maximize these characteristics.
The horizontal lines and jumps created with this stitch remind me of a journey or a destination; sometimes staying put, enjoying a calm and quiet journey, while other times jumping from place to place on a new adventure. Hence came the name “latitude”. Latitude lines are the invisible horizontal lines that depict the North and South locations on the Earth between the North and South Poles.
This pattern requires yarn to be held together.

Any CYC 2, Sport Weight that meets gauge.
Gauge: 24 sts x 24 rows = 4x4" (10x10 cm)
